Hello, I am Bregje Verhoef, the heart and hands behind Spintol.nl. At 44, my life’s story is one of enduring resilience against the tides of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), stemming from a tumultuous childhood. Despite the nightmares that have accompanied me since I was a child and the daily battles with anxiety and stress, I have found solace and purpose in crafting.
Spintol.nl is more than just a website; it’s a window into my world of creating professional wooden spindles. Each piece is a testament to my journey – handcrafted with care on my good days, and a reminder of perseverance on the not-so-good ones. This craft gives meaning to my life and allows me to connect with the world in my unique way.
My story is also one of hope and healing. I own a special PTSD service dog called Pippa, a companion that greatly improves my life, helping me navigate the challenges in my life. Pippa represents more than just assistance; it symbolizes a beacon of hope and a step towards a better quality of life.
