Who is Bregje?

Hello, I am Bregje Verhoef, the heart and hands behind Studio Spintol. At 44, my life story is one of persevering against the tide of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), stemming from a turbulent childhood. Despite the daily battles with fear and stress and the nightmares that have haunted me since childhood, I have found peace and purpose in making artisanal products since 2019.

More than a website

Spintol.nl is more than just a website; it is a glimpse into my world of making exclusive wooden spinning tops. Each spinning top is a piece of my journey – handmade with love and care on my good days and a reminder of my perseverance on the bad days. Making spinning tops gives meaning to my life and allows me to connect with the world in my own personal way.

Pippa

In addition to all this, my story is also one of love, hope and recovery. I now have a special PTSD assistance dog Pippa, a buddy who helps me with the challenges that my life brings. Pippa stands for much more than just help; she is also living proof of hope and a big push in the back towards a better quality of life.
