In the box you’ll find:

The wooden shaft makes all the difference: sustainable, pleasant to hold, and far less likely to break than plastic.
The fibers are carefully chosen for length, grip, and structure, so you can start spinning right away with materials that work with you, not against you.

Many people start with an old bit of wool they happen to have, or with something that feels “too nice to use.” But those are often not the fibers that make learning easy. That’s why Start & Spin includes the right wool from the start. You don’t have to wonder if it’s “too special to use”, these fibers are here for you to actually start with.

Color of the spindle and the fibers

Each Start & Spin is assembled by hand. I select a spindle and fiber set that complement each other beautifully, so every box becomes a unique combination. If you have a color or style preference, leave a note with your order: tell me your favorite shades, or colors you’d rather avoid. I’ll do my best to match it for you.
