Alongside our loose locks, we also have this beautifully combed mohair top. While the locks retain their natural curl, the fibers in this top are combed into a smooth, parallel strand. This makes it an excellent fiber for blending. Mix it with soft merino or another wool to give your yarn that incredible silky luster and a subtle ‘halo’ without the rugged texture of loose locks.
Spinning Experience
Spinning mohair top is a completely different experience compared to working with locks. The combed fibers glide more easily through your hands, making blending on a drum carder or hand carders a breeze. In a mix, mohair adds extra strength and a depth of color that truly catches the light.
You can spin it pure, but be prepared for its smoothness; mohair top likes a bit of extra twist to keep the fibers together. The result is an incredibly strong yarn with a high-end look.

Care & Colors
Washing We recommend hand washing your finished yarn or projects. Since these are non-superwash fibers, they will felt in the washing machine. By washing by hand, your projects will not only keep their shape, but the hand-dyed colors will stay vibrant and beautiful much longer.
Colors Our fibers are hand-dyed in small batches. This may result in slight color variations between different dye lots. You will receive a product comparable to the photos, though please keep in mind that colors on your screen may differ slightly from the actual product in real life.
