Why Kauri?
Kauri is a protected species from New Zealand. I only use legally sourced timber: a rare and conscious choice.
For the spinner: Kauri is denser than maple, for example. This gives you a Size 2 with extra mass. It is the ideal travel companion: a small, portable tool with enough weight to handle a slightly thicker yarn.

- The Shaft: Rock-solid hickory, hand-colored with a subtle glitter finish.
- The Finish: Natural hardwax oil. Protects the color and maintains that tactile grip.
