Olive wood is one of the densest woods in my studio. This means: more mass in a smaller size. Ideal for on the go: you get a portable spindle that won’t stop spinning when working with slightly thicker yarns.

Why Olive?

Olive wood is rare and precious. The trees grow in twisted, irregular shapes, making it a constant search for perfect, flaw-free planks. The wood smells amazing during crafting and the grain is never the same: from deep dark flames to soft brown streaks. Its natural grip feels almost oily, creating a unique flow between your fingers.

The design: Model Athena

Named after the goddess of wisdom. Her lines are softer than the Artemis, but don’t underestimate her: the weight of the olive wood makes the Athena surprisingly powerful. Whether you choose a Size 1 for your bag or a heavy Size 4 for plying: this is pure power in an elegant form.
