Size & Weight (Wood: Maple)
Maple is my personal technical favorite. It sits right in the sweet spot between my super-light species and the heavier hitters. This means extra stability without feeling bulky.
| Size | Weight | Diameter | Your Spinning Experience |
| 1 | 8 – 10 grams | 7,5 cm | For fine work (like cobweb) with a surprisingly powerful spin. |
| 4 | ca. 41 gram | 13,5 cm | Sold out – A heavyweight for thicker yarns or powerful plying. |

Why Maple?
Maple is a ‘clean’ wood: pale in color, super stable, and with a grain that feels like satin after polishing. Because the wood is relatively light, the spindle won’t pull too hard on your thread. This saves a lot of frustration (and broken ends) when spinning those delicate fibers.
The design: Model Artemis
Named after the goddess of the hunt: focused, powerful, and fast.
While other models might take a moment to get going, the Artemis is ‘on’ immediately. Its compact shape keeps the energy centered, resulting in a powerful rotation. Whether you’re going for a quick session with Size 1 or plying a large batch with Size 4: the Artemis is your go-to partner for an active spinning experience.
The details
- The Shaft: Strong hickory with the smart taper to keep your single firmly in place.
- The Finish: Finished with natural hardwax oil. This protects against dirt but keeps the natural warmth of the wood. Your fingers will feel the silky-smooth structure of the maple, pure tactile ASMR to help you get fully into your spinning flow.
- Sustainability: I work with local wood whenever possible. Good for you, good for the planet.
- Ready to ship: Carefully and securely packed for a safe journey to your spinning basket.
