Heavy, dark, and rock-solid. Caribbean Rosewood is a rare timber for those who love mass. This Aphrodite is exceptionally dense; with 33-35 grams in size 3, she is a powerhouse that refuses to stop spinning.
- The Vibe: Exclusive, robust, and heavy throughout.
- The Wood: Caribbean Rosewood. Deep dark brown with an intense grain.
- Match: For those who want a heavy spindle; not too reactive, not too slow, just plenty of mass.
Size & Weight (Caribbean Rosewood)
Rosewood is one of my heaviest wood species, and you can feel that across the entire width of the Aphrodite. While other models distribute their weight specifically, the Aphrodite in this wood is dense all over. In size 3 (33-35 grams), this provides a very reliable feel. She doesn’t deviate and spins with raw power.
| Size | Weight | Diameter | Your Spinning Experience |
| 2 | 23 -26 gram | 7,5 cm | Heavy hitter, compact size. Spin thicker singles anywhere, anytime. |
| 3 | 33 – 40 gram | 12 cm | For thick singles. |
Why Caribbean Rosewood?
This wood makes an impression. It is rare, legal, and heavy. After finishing, it feels smooth-soft (that is officially a word now) under your fingers. No rough grain, just the smooth quality that belongs to this type of heavy timber. You notice the weight the moment you pick it up.
The design: Model Aphrodite
Named after the goddess of beauty and love.
In terms of weight distribution, the Aphrodite sits exactly between the Athena and the Artemis. She is the most “all-round” of the three. In this Caribbean Rosewood edition, that means a spindle that reacts steadily and predictably to your touch, but with the impact of a heavyweight.
The details
- The Shaft: Walnut with the smart taper to keep your single in place.
- The Finish: Natural hardwax-oil. Natural hardwax oil. This brings out the depth of the grain and ensures the wood feels silky-smooth.
- Sustainability: Responsibly sourced Rosewood. The luxury of exotic wood, without the ecological guilt.
