The Shimmering Start Merino Top spins best on a suspended spindle, like a Turkish spindle. Due to the Firestar’s smooth texture, we recommend using a size 2 or 3 spindle, as these provide an excellent balance of speed and control.

Washing Shimmering Start Merino Top
